Day tour 2 July part two

Next stop is Beitou. This is the locals' easiest choice when they need a quick dip in sulphurous waters. An interesting plant i saw along the way.
The backview of Yangmingshan. More photos I took around the place:

After a walk in the country side area, we were brought to the city. Since tour guide earns commission by bringing us to places to shop, this tour guide is no exception. We were shown some herbal products like royal jelly and lingzhi at one shop. Learnt something interesting: If the honey is top grade honey, the beehive shape can be seen when you add the honey to water and then shake. The beehive shape will gradually appear. Wild lingzhi can be identified by the spore bags present. Those grown on the farm do not have spore bags as the nutrients supplied are only sufficient for own growth and not for reproduction. Another shop that we were taken to was the pastry shop. Bought plenty of pineapple tarts, green bean tarts and pork floss. The shop even had delivery service. So we placed an order to be sent before we headed back to Singapore.

With our purchases made, we proceeded to Miramar ferris mall. This mall has the second highest ferris wheel in asia. The highest one is in Japan. Me and ferris wheel.

Me and Mich posed for a foto in the carriage of the ferris wheel. We were trapped in there for about ten plus minutes.

The rows of cars in the carpark. Waste of space to use large area to park cars? Better if it's multi-storey or underground carpark?

See part of miramar mall on the right?
Another view from the top.
Me at the highest point.
Closer look at the structure of the ferris wheel.
Our final stop for the day was Shilin night market. There is a food section and shopping district separately.
Inside the night market. Me acting greedy and idiotic while waiting for food.
The uncle preparing the coffin rice.
The coffin rice. Stuffed with crab meat.
Eating 七里香 (chicken backside). All full of fats.
爱玉冰 some kind of jelly. We wanted something coolin to quench our thirst. Night scene.
In total we ate oyster with egg, oyster mee suah, coffin rice, chicken backside, ai yu jelly at the stalls. We packed the fried chicken chop back. Along the way to the hotel, we bought the big fat squid as well. We really ate a lot.
