One Rochester

19 May. Yay. Finally joined the in-crowd in putting an appearance at Rochester Park. For those who have not been going out/reading the newspaper, Rochester Park is the new place to hang out at. It is located near Buona Vista Mrt. There are mainly bars and restaurants, converted from bungalows.

We went to a chill-out bar, One Rochester. The place was packed. All the alfresco areas were already occupied. Therefore, we ended up indoors. Not too bad since there was music playing in the background. It was a relaxing atmosphere. I have always wanted to go to a pub and chill out with frens. It was something I talked about with frens way back in school. Like it will be cool to meet up after work for drinks. Finally, got a wish fulfilled.

The food is quite pricey. By the end of the night, i have spent close to thirty dollars. Drank black russian (vodka+kahlua) and beer (american brand). The beer was recommended by a visiting lecturer who was in Biopolis during the day. He said it was his favourite beer. Found it very smooth but lack the punch.

Before long, we were spilling out the beans about our personal life. Look wat alcohol and a good ambience can do to you. But it brought me closer to my colleagues. This bunch of gals has become much better frens from hanging out toget more often.
